A Healthy Break in Goa from Sinquerim Beach to Baga Beach

Written by: Sandeep Sinha - Scientific Poet of the 21st Century

It is strange to note that people from cold countries like the warm climate while people from hot countries like the cold climate. During winter, people from European countries travel to Goa, which is a coastal state on the western part of India. Beaches in northern part of Goa have been popular among tourists and attract people from cold as well as hot climates.

There are several beaches in the northern part of Goa, but the stretch of land from Sinquerim beach to Baga beach is packed with sunbathers from morning till evening. Since Europe is close to Goa, the tourists take a break during the cold winter months and have a gala time from 9 AM to 5 PM. Hey! These are exactly the office timings; for sunbathers, it is holiday time and the office timings become holiday timings on the beaches in Goa.

Sinquerim Beach starts from Fort Aguada and continues till Candolim Beach; then Candolim Beach continues till Baga Beach while passing through the Calangute Beach in between. Sinquerim Beach is on the southern side while Baga Beach is on the northern side. Sinquerim, Candolim, Calangute, and Baga beaches are well-maintained because there are various restaurants, hotels, and resorts in vicinity where tourists stay during their vacation.

The sunshine is rich in Vitamin D and gives necessary nourishment when you lie on a beach bed or walk on the 5 km stretch of beach from Sinquerim Beach to Baga Beach. People get the tan in a short span of 10 days; so you can imagine the intensity of Sun's rays on these beaches.

There are local masseurs on the beach, and you may like to take a gentle massage as well. If you are with your beloved, then you can take the massage from caring, known hands. A massage helps to relax the taut muscles and tense nerves, and also helps to increase the blood circulation. You wouldn't have the time to take a massage in your city where you would be busy all day at work and then at home to take care of household activities. So take the opportunity to relax on the beach and enjoy the warmth of the Sun.

When you feel too tired lying on the beach bed, you can go for a stroll from Sinquerim Beach to Baga Beach. It is about 5 km of walk either way; so you can burn calories and burn extra fat from your body. It is a pleasant walk as you enjoy sunlight, softness of beach sand, and the sights of other people walking on the beach.

Stay healthy and reap the benefits of your exposure to sunlight from Sinquerim Beach to Baga Beach in Goa.
